Jeanine and David were already married in their beautiful home country, Switzerland, but still wanted an additional free wedding ceremony in the Seychelles and my photo accompaniment for three days.
Fantastic! Finally, after a long time, a free wedding ceremony in the Seychelles! A free wedding ceremony takes a lot longer than a “normal” wedding ceremony in the Seychelles and therefore offers me the opportunity to get even more beautiful pictures than at a normal wedding ceremony. I was already really looking forward to this very special wedding in the Seychelles!
Less than 24 hours before I left for the airport to embark on my 31st Seychelles trip, the two of them contacted me via WhatsApp and told me that they would probably forego the free wedding ceremony and “only” want after-wedding photos from me. What a pity, because a free wedding ceremony in particular produces many beautiful pictures! But I didn’t really have time to be disappointed because I had to get on with packing my suitcase. After all, in addition to Jeanine and David, 17 other couples were waiting for me in the Seychelles.
During the three days of photography that I spent together with Jeanine and David, we visited some very remote photo spots. In addition to the full-day boat tour over to Big Sister Island, we even hiked to Anse Marron one day to take pictures there! We will probably remember the way there for a long time to come, as the tide was so high that we only had our heads sticking out of the water as we fought our way through the floods at Anse Pierrot. Jeanine’s wedding dress, David’s suit and not least my photo equipment were transported on my head – always in fear that the next wave would knock us over. However, we can already reveal here that we made it through the journey in good shape. Wedding photos from Anse Marron will follow soon as proof…
The photo I would like to show you today, however, was much less strenuous. The dead, now fallen takamaka tree at Anse Gaulettes on La Digue is easily accessible, as it is less than five meters from the narrow coastal road on the east coast. Just as we arrived, the tide had just peaked and, in combination with the sunny weather, helped us to take this dream photo.
So you see: even without a wedding in the Seychelles, you can take wonderful photos there! If you are also interested in an after-wedding photo shoot in the Seychelles, please contact me at any time!
