The next trip to the Seychelles is still a few months away – and the pictures of the weddings I photographed on the islands this year (including the wedding of professional footballer Jan Hochscheidt) have been edited and will gradually find their way onto the blog. But there is still no sign of a “Seychelles break”:
Today I met with Edith Hunzinger (see photo), the head of the Seychelles Tourist Office in Germany, in Dortmund. Edith was born on Mahé and knows each of the touristically developed islands, not only because of her position at the STB (“Seychelles Tourism Board”).
The two of us sat together in the sun for almost three hours (thank you for your time, Edith!) and moved from one topic to the next. We certainly wouldn’t have run out of things to talk about in the 72 hours that followed, but as we all know, everything comes to an end at some point. However, further meetings are planned.
As Edith is totally enthusiastic about the photographs I have brought back from my ten trips to the Seychelles so far, the happy conclusion of our first meeting is that I will be working as an official accredited photographer for the Seychelles Tourism Board in the future and thus also gain access to islands that I have only known from the stories of well-traveled globetrotters or from various glossy magazines! 😀
And who knows, maybe there will be a wedding taking place at one of the island resorts or on one of the main islands at the same time, which I can photograph to provide the STB with nice photos of a wedding in the Seychelles… 😀
