The slide tour leads through two very different island states in the Indian Ocean, geographically belonging to Africa: Seychelles, one of the smallest states in Africa, is one of the wealthiest countries on the continent, while Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world.
the Seychelles are certainly one of the most beautiful island paradises on earth. fantastic beaches with bizarre granite rocks characterise the landscape of these tropical islands surrounded by turquoise sea. colourful fish cavort on the coral reefs. many of the islands are populated by huge colonies of seabirds. in the primeval forests in the interior of the island of Praslin grows the coco de mer, a huge palm tree species with the largest leaves and the largest nuts in the world.
there is already a magic in the name madagascar. madagascar became famous as a spice island and pirate's hideaway. diverse landscapes, from rainforest to semi-desert and tropical coasts, offer habitats for the unique flora and fauna. over 80% of the animal and plant species can only be found here. lemurs, chameleons, carnivorous pitcher plants and the surreal appearing baobab trees are among the special features.
