Silversea Cruises is very pleased with the feedback from guests about the cooking school on its luxury cruise ships. Silversea has worked closely with the Relais & Châteaux hotel and restaurant association to offer this service. The informative and entertaining cooking courses are individually tailored to the type of cruise, taking into account the regional characteristics of the destinations. The programme includes cooking competitions between David Bilsland (Silversea Cruises' head chef) and the Silversea Cruises' kitchen crew, but also professional recipes for recooking and "from market to plate" activities with a shopping tour at a local market followed by the preparation of the food. There are also the Culinary Outing on shore excursions, where passengers can get to know local specialities.
