“Wedding in the Seychelles”-News # 031: General Manager for the first Kempinski Resort in the Seychelles

I have just discovered the following message:

(PREGAS) Pierre Stacher launches five-star beach resort. Pierre Stacher, a native of Switzerland with additional Australian nationality and an internationally successful manager for many years, is responsible as General Manager for all aspects of the completion and opening of Kempinski’s first resort in the Seychelles, the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare. The five-star luxury resort on the main island of Mahé, just 30 minutes from the international airport in the capital Victoria, is due to open before the end of the year. 144 top-designed rooms and six suites, some of which have a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean, await the first guests.

Pierre Stacher can look back on an extremely successful career in the hotel industry, which began in 1967 at the Beau-Rivage Palace, Lausanne – at the same time as attending the Ecole Hôtelèrie de Lausanne. After various stages of professional development around the world, most notably in Hong Kong as Marketing Director Asia Pacific for Hyatt, the then 39-year-old took over the management of a hotel for the first time in 1985: as General Manager at the Bali Hyatt. At the same time, he was responsible for the Hyatt Regency Perth in Australia. This was followed by positions in Seoul, Bangkok, Cairo, Basel, Zurich and Sydney, as well as at the Hayman Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia, before the experienced manager moved to Kempinski Hotels. His first task at the oldest luxury hotel group was the positioning and opening of the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic Istria in Croatia at the end of 2009.
