One of my highlights in 2017 was the first broadcast of the WDR report "Beautiful - Dream destination Seychelles"If you follow my work, you know that in October 2016 I stood in front of the television cameras of the West German Radio in the Seychelles. In the popular travel show "Wunderschön" my work was presented as wedding photographer in Seychelles documented - and since it was first broadcasted on 05.02.2017, there was no stopping (here the link to the show: WDR "Beautiful" Seychelles In the first weeks after broadcasting, I had the feeling that the entire German-speaking area in the Seychelles wanted to get married and be photographed by me!
This is how it came about that in the now ending year 2017, I will have significantly more Weddings in the Seychelles than i photographed in my german homeland. in 2018 this will be the case. there are two main reasons for this: on the one hand, the flight of couples marrying in the seychelles does not stop (and it will grow even bigger soon, as you will read further below) - and on the other hand, in the now ending year 2017, i have once again realized how valuable it is not to fill up every weekend in germany with weddings, but to go on weekend trips with the family instead, or just sit in a beer garden with a few dear friends and enjoy life. you only live once!
at the end of august 2018 our son will start school. from then on we will be dependent on the weekends to be able to spend free time together without homework or other obligations. and we will be dependent on the school holidays to be able to travel together. therefore we have decided to enjoy the first eight months of the coming year to the best of our abilities. i have accepted a few extra wedding assignments here in my german home country so that we can tick off a few things on our travel wish list in 2018. but don't worry, for your Wedding in the Seychelles (Click here for more info!) or wherever (Click here for more info!) I am of course still bookable at any time both outside and within the school holidays.
i "have to" go to the seychelles three more times before tom's school enrolment, but i will also be taking several more trips with the family. we'll be starting in january, because that's when our three-week family trip to thailand starts. besides three days in bangkok and three days in singapore, we'll be spending most of the time on the wonderfully chilly dream island of koh lanta, where we can relax and unwind. from our terrace, we can jump directly into the huge pool or alternatively go to the beach a few steps further on. heart, what more do you want?
After our return, there are only a few weeks left before I go to the Seychelles for the 24th time, where not only numerous German wedding couples await me, but also the next Television stationwho wants to shoot with me on location! My activity as wedding photographer in Seychelles is the main focus of this travel documentary and we will travel to several islands together. I am really looking forward to the shooting days on my favourite islands! 😀 As soon as a broadcast date is fixed, you will be the first to know.
Another highlight of the year 2017 was besides my five "honeymoons" in the Seychelles of course also my appearance at the dforum festival! On September 02 I gave my lecture on the topic "Professional wedding photography" at the popular photography event, also known as "Little Photokina". I am still very honored that CANONthe world's largest camera manufacturer, chose me as the only speaker on the subject of "Wedding Photography" and the most popular speaker of the day was the world-famous nature film maker Andreas Kielingwho presented his lecture on the subject of "Nature Photography" to the approximately 2,000 visitors.
For the year 2019 and also for 2020 the first Weddings in the Seychelles After the first broadcast of the new TV-documentary, there will certainly be more to come, so please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to get married in the Seychelles!
In the following I will show you as usual some pictures of the now ending year. Yes, there are quite a lot of pictures this year... 😉 More Seychelles pictures from 2017 can be found in my FOTOMANN annual review: FOTOMANN's annual review 2017
Get well into 2018 and stay healthy!
