Please excuse the fact that I have hardly published anything on the blog this year, but since the TV broadcast at the beginning of February, “the tree has been burning here”. The requests are never-ending. I have the impression that the entire German-speaking world wants to get married in the Seychelles and be photographed by me! 😉
On my 23rd Seychelles trip, which has just ended, I photographed a whopping 15 wedding couples – 14 of them on La Digue and one on Praslin. Next year, in addition to La Digue, there will also be weddings on Mahé, Praslin and Silhouette to photograph – but this year, as almost always, my favorite island La Digue was at the top of most wedding couples’ wish lists.
Once again I have discovered some great new photo spots. I simply never run out of motifs on the dream island – which is a good thing, because I’ve been following my motto for many years that I want to create some completely new motifs with every pair. This way, every couple can later hang an absolutely unique “photo man” on their wall! 🙂
Bernd and Birgit from the beautiful Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg, for example, were the first people I photographed with at “Sea Turtle Rock”. I usually give my new photo spots a name straight away. This rock, for example, has the clearly recognizable shape of a sea turtle if you stand a little deeper.
I brought back soooo many amazing pictures from this trip that it would be a shame not to present at least a selection of them to you regularly on the blog. However, it is more than questionable whether I will be able to do this in time. Most of the 15 couples now also want a hand-bound wedding book – and that comes first. And the daily inquiries from couples who want to get married in the Seychelles naturally need to be answered promptly.
Furthermore, the next TV shoot in the Seychelles is just a few months away! The next channel has asked if I would like to be the “Seychelles expert” for a 45-minute documentary that will be broadcast in 2018. My work as a wedding photographer in the Seychelles should be highlighted extensively and I should “lead through the show” a little. And since I’m naturally in the mood again, I’m sure I won’t be bored in 2018 either. The first two “Seychelles honeymoons” for 2019 are already firmly on the calendar… 🙂
