“Some people say that the building on the corner of Dreimühlenstraße is jinxed because yet another new restaurateur is trying his luck. However, neither we nor the new guest couple Simone Fußeder and Tobias Schachner are superstitious. The two Seychelles fans opened their “Coco de Mer” a few days ago, with colorful tiles and large photos of the Seychelles on the walls. The interior design is the opposite of the previous “Il Porcile” – now the large room is bright, visible and airy. Chef Jürgen Rüttiger was specially sent to the archipelago for a cooking course – and what he conjures up sounds good: Saint Anne fish soup (for 5.50 euros), Anse Kerlan, which is chicken curry with spicy coconut sauce, vegetables, rice and chutney of the day (11.20 euros) or crepes with eggplant compote for 6.50 euros. You can choose between a Fischerbräu-Helles for 3.20 euros or a 0.2 glass of wine for 4.60 euros. If you would like to try several Creole specialties at once, we recommend the Seychelles buffet for 16.90 euros every Wednesday from 6 to 11 pm.”
