For once, the current “Wedding in the Seychelles” photo of the week is not from a wedding on La Digue, but from a wedding on Mahé. Bride Tiffany comes from Georgia (USA) and her “Mr. Right” Brandon from Great Britain. The two live and work in Dubai – and on March 19, 2014, they got married in the Seychelles.
They had chosen the Kempinski Resort at Baie Lazare, where I had already photographed the wedding of Kirstin & Cornelius (see ) in fall 2012 and where I had also spent a wonderful vacation with my then pregnant wife and son in March 2013.
Brandon was still alone in the fancy hotel room when I knocked on the door at 12:45 as agreed. At the time, Tiffany was still being “pimped” at the Kempinski Resort spa. Before we got married at 4pm at the wedding gazebo of the Kempinski Resort, the three of us drove around the island in my rental car and took some beautiful pictures at three other particularly photogenic beaches in the south of Mahé. They thanked me again and again for my local knowledge and the pictures I conjured up on the spot. Tiffany worked as a wedding photographer in the USA for a long time before moving to Dubai and told me that I was the only wedding photographer she would consider for the Seychelles after she discovered my pictures – which of course made me very happy!
The photo was taken very spontaneously. Immediately after the wedding ceremony, Brandon reached for the bottle and popped the cork in seconds with a practiced grip. Everything happened so quickly that even Tiffany was completely surprised. Since I really like the moment and especially Tiffany’s facial expression, I would like to share the picture with you. Maybe it will bring a smile to your face… 😀
