Wedding in the Seychelles: The wedding photo of the week!

The latest“Wedding in the Seychelles” photo of the week shows Sarah and Christoph at the beautiful Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue. The two couples from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern had celebrated their beautiful wedding at Grand Anse the day before. A wedding at Grand Anse is quite unusual, as 9 out of 10 couples getting married on La Digue in 2014 opted for a wedding at Anse Source d’Argent.

However, Sarah and Christoph wanted to get married “somehow differently” and asked me, as a “La Digue connoisseur by heart”, which beach I would recommend for their wedding besides Anse Source d’Argent. And that was definitely the Grand Anse for me. For me, it is the perfect symbiosis of beautiful scenery and easy accessibility!

A wedding at Anse Cocos or even more so a wedding at Anse Marron would probably go one better in terms of the solitude and unspoilt nature of the beach – but the organizational effort for a wedding at Anse Cocos or a wedding at Anse Marron would probably go beyond the budget of many couples who want to get married in the Seychelles.

But back to Sarah and Christoph and their wedding at Grand Anse:

How was this rather unusual wedding ceremony organized? Quite simply: I had put the bridal couple in direct contact with what I considered to be the most capable wedding planner on La Digue long before they set off on their trip, so that Sarah and Christoph had the ideal contact person in advance and were able to clarify even the tiniest detail (exact location of the ceremony, exact time, decorations, musicians, champagne, wedding cake, etc.) directly by email and phone without having to make any detours.

And so, after more than a dozen really beautiful weddings at Anse Source d’Argent, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Grand Anse. And this wedding was fantastic! [Edit April 2019: In the meantime, I hardly ever photograph weddings at Anse Source d’Argent, but I love to do so at other beaches! Details on this when booking as a photographer].

As the bride and groom asked me not to publish any pictures of the wedding ceremony, today you can “only” see a photo of the two of them at Anse Source d’Argent, which was taken the day after the ceremony.
