Kerstin and Sören had 20 wedding guests flown in from Germany and wanted to be absolutely sure that they would be completely undisturbed during their wedding in the Seychelles and not have to expect any uninvited guests. The couple therefore decided to get married on Robinson Island, a small, artificial island just off the beach of Anse La Réunion on the west coast of La Digue.
Robinson Island is just a few hundred meters away from the venerable La Digue Island Lodge. How convenient that both the bridal couple and some of the guests had chosen La Digue Island Lodge as their accommodation! I wonder who gave them this recommendation? 😉
A small, photogenic pirogue picked up the bride and groom directly from the beach at Island Lodge by three boatmen dressed in white and sailed them to the wedding venue. How great that there was still room on board for the photographer! 😀
