Hello everyone,
It’s been quiet here on the blog for quite a long time – but today I finally feel like blogging again, because today is the first day in what feels like an eternity that it’s raining here again and the long overdue fall offers a first taste of what’s to come.
But let’s take a look back: wasn’t it an absolute picture-book summer? Great weather and consistently high temperatures for months – that’s how it should always be. And then this magnificent fall! I enjoyed the time and took many beautiful pictures in the colorful autumn forest with my loved ones! It’s still at least 15 degrees here during the day and the sun is shining almost all the time. Crazy. But nice… 😉
Many of you probably haven’t even realized it yet: Today is Friday the 13th! It’s generally regarded as an unlucky day. I can’t confirm this, because today I came 1st in a photo competition and won a free flight with Air Seychelles!😀 The “Seychelles Tourism Board” had called on Facebook to submit photos on the theme of “Romantic Seychelles”. As I have plenty of suitable images for this, I submitted two photos and won a weekly competition with both of them. All the weekly winners then went through to the grand final, which began yesterday at 11 a.m. and ended exactly 24 hours later. The winner was the photo that received the most “likes”. And since luck is known to be with the stupid ones, there could only be one winner… 😉
So I won’t have to worry about the flight costs on one of my next trips to the Seychelles. And with four trips to the Seychelles already planned in the next 12 months, my free flight will probably not have to expire!
Here you can see the winning photo. Even though I still like the Seychelles best when the sky is blue, this photo, which was taken on La Digue at the end of June 2015, is still one of my absolute favorites. The atmosphere that prevailed that evening at Anse Source d’Argent was truly magical.
I wish you all a wonderful fall! We’ll see each other again at the latest in the annual review, which I traditionally publish between Christmas and New Year. Enjoy life!
