Now BILD is also reporting it – and they know it from “The Sun”. Who knows, maybe we’ll even meet the royal highnesses somewhere, because in seven days we’ll be back in the Seychelles… 😀
What bliss! A villa with a four-poster bed and marble bathtub, a terrace with a view of the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Here you can relax and unwind…
Prince William (28) and his newlywed wife Kate (29) are spending their honeymoon in the Seychelles. This is reported in British newspapers.
The tropical islands are THE place for lovers: no neighbors, cars, cell phones. Just sun, sea and lots and lots of love.
The couple landed yesterday at the airport of the island chain in the Indian Ocean in a private jet, several newspapers reported, citing the Ministry of Tourism and the Seychelles Tourist Board. From there, they traveled on to a remote island, according to the Daily Telegraph and the Times. There was initially no official confirmation of the reports. Prince William’s office had previously only announced that the couple had set off on their honeymoon – without naming the vacation destination.
According to The Sun, the couple will spend ten days relaxing under palm trees on one of the 115 Seychelles islands, swimming and pampering each other. And “The Sun” also wants to know the price of William and Kate’s alleged luxury villa: 4000 pounds (around 6500 euros) – per night.
William and Kate are said to have booked themselves into the North Island Resort – North Island was developed into a private vacation club with eleven guest houses in 2003 – for their honeymoon, writes the Guardian newspaper. Here, a honeymoon price of 3220 pounds (around 5300 euros) per night is mentioned. However, it is also possible to rent all eleven luxury villas at the resort – for 43,000 pounds (around 70,900 euros). The facilities of one of these villas include a round swimming pool and a cinema lounge.
“William wants Kate to relax and make it all about him and her. This is the perfect place for the two of them,” an unnamed source is said to have told the Mirror. And: William and Kate are said to have already jumped on two rickety bicycles to explore the island.
Residents of the Seychelles have expressed their delight at reports of Prince William and his wife Kate’s honeymoon in their country. A local newspaper reported on Wednesday about the joy of the islanders at the news of the royal visit. “I am very happy that they are here on vacation and having fun,” said retired police officer Rene Vidod in a pub in the capital Victoria. “Everyone is happy.”
The couple asked for their privacy to be respected during the trip, emphasized Clarence House, the prince and princess’s residence in London. William and Kate had already spent a vacation together in the Seychelles in 2007…
