Every year: Since 1999, a small but select group of “Seychelles friends” has been coming together once a year in Düsseldorf for the “Seychelles get-together”. Three guesses who is so crazy about the Seychelles that they have been to all 17 meetings so far? 😀
In any case, this year we have chosen the

picked out. We’ll meet in the open air in the Rhine meadows on Volmerswerther Deich from 1 pm (in case of rain we’ll spontaneously reschedule, but so far we’ve almost always been lucky), put delicious things on the barbecue, dip our feet in the Rhine every now and then and talk about our favorite topic: The Seychelles!😀
Since some “newbies” and also several bridal couples whose weddings I have photographed in the Seychelles in recent years have already announced their attendance at this year’s meeting, the meeting will probably be larger than in previous years. So bring plenty of ice with you, Kalli! 😉
In any case, anyone who is interested in the Seychelles is very welcome! It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been to the islands several times or only know the Seychelles “from hearsay”! In any case, it would be great if you could register with me in advance by e-mail (info@hochzeit-seychellen.de) – but spontaneous visitors are also very welcome.
Our “meeting” on the Rhine usually ends at around 6 pm. But then the Seychelles meeting is far from over, because the “hard core” then moves on to Düsseldorf’s old town – and it’s not uncommon for night to turn into day. We have already reserved our room from Saturday to Sunday at the “Melia Hotel” on Inselstraße, right next to the Hofgarten: Melia Hotel am Hofgarten
So pack your bags and come to Volmerswerther Deich in Düsseldorf on 30.07.2016 from 1 pm!
The exact address: Volmerswerther Deich/corner of Volmerswerther Straße. If you look down to the Rhine right there, you should already see us sitting in the grass below – probably under the trees (see photo below; click to enlarge!), unless the seats there were already taken when we arrived. You can also enter the address of the Chinese restaurant “Mayflower” (Volmerswerther Deich 151, 40221 Düsseldorf), which is only about 100 meters away from the meeting point.
We bring a small kettle grill that everyone is welcome to use. Also charcoal. Ideally, bring the following utensils with you:
