Anyone who travels to the Seychelles and just lies around on the beach or by the hotel pool is missing out on the true beauty of the dream islands! The most beautiful and deserted beaches are sometimes very hidden, and even the most beautiful viewpoints are usually inaccessible to the “ordinary tourist”. How good that there are competent “Nature Guides” who know the islands like the back of their hand!
I would particularly like to recommend my dear friend Robert Agnes – better known to some under his nickname “Sunny”. Robert has lived on the dream island of La Digue since he was born and is one of very few guides who have an official license for these tours and live from showing interested visitors the most beautiful corners of the Seychelles – no matter how remote they may be. Robert offers his tours not only on La Digue, but also on Praslin and Mahé, among others, and takes care like no other guide that nature is not affected. He explains the flora and fauna in detail, even helps you carry your luggage if necessary and always lends a helping hand! He speaks perfect English, French and Creole and has been busy learning German and Italian for some time now.
I don’t know how many tours I’ve been on with “Sunny” over the last few years and how many times I’ve sat on the beach with him in the evening with a bottle of Seybrew and philosophized about the Seychelles or simply about God and the world.
My colleagues Birgit & Wolfgang Amri from seychelles.cc made a great video about Robert Agnes and his tours just a few weeks ago. Take a look at it:

More InformationI’m always amazed at how cheaply “Sunny” offers its guided tours – after all, almost all tours include a great meal in the price! My mouth is watering just thinking about it… 😀
It is a good idea to get in touch with Robert Agnes before the start of your trip and agree what you would like to see or do and when, because depending on the season, “Sunny” – whose good reputation has spread like wildfire – is sometimes fully booked days in advance.
