Qatar Airways is stepping up its activities and has announced an increase in its East Africa connections. From January 2011, the frequencies to Kenya’s capital Nairobi and the Tanzanian capital Dar-es-Salaam will be increased.

Qatar Airways is stepping up its activities in East Africa. The Doha-Nairobi route will be served twice a day from January 2011.
As of January 2, 2011, the Tanzanian capital Dar-es-Salaam will also receive four additional frequencies per week. Following a further increase in frequencies from February 14, the route will then be served by a total of twelve weekly flights. An A320 will be used on both routes, with twelve seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy Class.
Qatar Airways, based in Doha, currently serves 14 destinations in Africa, such as Algiers, Johannesburg, Cairo, Cape Town, Nairobi, Seychelles, Tripoli and Tunis.

Qatar Airways also plans to expand its services in Europe within the next four months. Budapest and Bucharest will be added from January 17, 2011, Brussels from January 31 and Stuttgart from March 6.
