Air Austral is launching flights to the Seychelles for the first time next year: From March 27, 2012, the airline based in La Réunion will fly from Paris (Charles-de-Gaulles) to Mahé. At the start of the route launch, the connection will be offered twice a week (Tuesday and Friday).
Passengers depart from Paris at 10.40 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. After an overnight flight, passengers reach Mahé in the Seychelles at 10 a.m. the following morning. Air Austral will then fly on to La Réunion at 11:35 a.m., arriving at St. Denis International Airport at 1:55 p.m. The airline offers return flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Air Austral operates modern Boeing 777-300s with a three-class configuration on the long-haul flight (18 seats in Business Class “Club Austral”, 40 seats in Economy Premium “Confort Class” and 384 seats in Economy Class “Class Loisirs”).
Air Austral has been cooperating with Lufthansa since the beginning of the year. Travelers from Germany can therefore take advantage of feeder services from Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin to Paris. Due to the existing Interline agreement, travelers receive a through ticket and can have their baggage checked through to their final destination.
