Wedding Seychelles – The photo of the week

“Dear Torsten, about a year ago I was thrilled by the pictures of La Digue Anse Source d’ Argent. We would also like to get married in the Seychelles. I’m getting more and more excited about this idea! I was very impressed by your photos, but I don’t know whether you will be there in September/October and what the costs will be. Do you offer specific packages? I would be very pleased to receive your message. Best regards from Stuttgart, Filipina”

I received this request by e-mail on 16.01.2017. In my reply, I informed Filipina that I had been informed by the 20.10. until 24.11. but most of the days are already booked by other couples. The super nice couple from Stuttgart actually wanted to travel to the Seychelles in September, but after I informed them that October 24 was the earliest date I could offer, they planned their dream wedding in the Seychelles for October 24, 2017. During this trip (for me it was Seychelles trip number 23, by the way), the majority of the couples were flexible and planned the wedding date according to my availability. How many wedding photographers can say that about themselves? 😉

So on 24.10.2017, the big day arrived. Filipina originally wanted to marry her Bobi at Anse Source d’Argent, but then relied on my experience and quickly abandoned this plan. As beautiful as the Anse Source d’Argent is, there are much better beaches for getting married! After the beautiful wedding ceremony at Grand Anse, the couple enjoyed wedding cake and champagne before we hiked together to Anse Cocos and Petite Anse, among other places. As the two of them had no fear of the wonderfully photogenic granite rocks of La Digue and both of them love climbing as much as I do, I showed them some of my absolute favorite places!

The current photo of the week was taken at Petite Anse on La Digue. In full wedding attire, Filipina and Bobi sit on one of the granite rocks and enjoy the view and the spectacular water colors. I’m really looking forward to climbing the rocks there with the next happy wedding couple in just a few weeks! 😀
