Interview with my bridal couple Nadine & Michael

Interview with my bridal couple Nadine & Michael

Nadine and Michael from near Nuremberg got married on March 30, 2025 in the Seychelles and had booked me as their wedding photographer for two days.

The wedding ceremony took place in perfect weather at Grand Anse – the most beautiful beach in the world for my taste at this time of year! As the day progressed, we moved on to many beautiful spots on La Digue. On the second day of photography, we then took the ferry over to the neighboring island of Praslin for a few hours – and back to La Digue in time for sunset, where we were able to experience a great finale to our two-day photo adventure.

Thank you very much for filling out the questionnaire, dear ones!

01.
Why did you get married in the Seychelles and not in Germany?

We wanted something special for our wedding and not the classic, but often very “dusty” registry office. What particularly impressed us about the Seychelles was the dreamlike backdrop and the opportunity to enjoy the moment just for ourselves.

02.
Where to put the wedding dress during the flight? And which airline did you fly with?
We flew with Emirates and Air Seychelles. With Emirates the wedding dress was kept in a cupboard by the board crew, with Air Seychelles we kept the dress on our laps during the short flight.
03.
How did you like your wedding? How was the wedding ceremony and what did you do after the ceremony? In short: What was your wedding day like?

We were able to enjoy a wonderful wedding day, which we couldn’t have wished for more beautifully. From waking up to the best weather and sunshine, to a perfectly organized wedding ceremony and two wonderful days of photography with Torsten. After the photo shoot, we rounded off the wedding day with a 5-course dinner at our hotel.

04.
Was it complicated to get married in the Seychelles? Which documents were required? Was there a "paper war"?

In principle, everything can be done without any problems with the appropriate lead time. In our case, however, we had submitted everything in October and were informed in mid-January that the regulations had changed. This left us very little time to obtain the new required documents and send them to the Seychelles in time.

05.
Did everything work as you had imagined?

Yes.

06.
Why did you decide to have me photograph your wedding? How did you come across me?

After it quickly became clear to us that we wanted to get married on the beach and in a country that is allowed to hold legal weddings, we came across Torsten’s website and his pictures convinced us straight away.

07.
Do you like the pictures?

Absolutely. We have unique memories of our special moment.

08.
Which photo spots did you particularly like?

The “Grand Anse” where our wedding ceremony took place was simply gorgeous. But so were the “Crocodile Rock” and the “Fotomann Rock”. The evening shoot on the second day with the bright red rock is also very memorable.

09.
Were there any experiences/places/situations during our photo tours that you particularly like to remember?

The “wedding dress attack” by the cutest puppy on the island of Praslin, as well as some very strenuous jungle and rock climbs, which were ALWAYS worth it in the end and we were surprised with spectacular views and pictures.

10.
Which hotel on La Digue did you book? Would you recommend it to other travelers?

We booked the hotel “Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie” and would definitely recommend it. Beautiful location, super tasty food, very friendly and attentive staff and the individual bungalows are beautifully embedded in nature.

11.
Which islands of the Seychelles did you visit and where did you like it best?

We visited La Digue, Praslin and Silhouette. We liked it best on La Digue and Silhouette.

12.
Are there any hotels that you would like to mention in a particularly positive light? Have you also come across accommodation that you would advise against?

On Silhouette we booked the Hilton Labriz and can especially recommend the beach villas in the south.

13.
Will you visit the Seychelles again? If so, what would you do differently from the previous trip? And what would you do again if necessary?

We can definitely imagine coming back. On a “normal” vacation, there would of course be more time to visit/explore the different islands.

14.
Why should couples who want to get married in the Seychelles use my services?

From the very beginning, we felt wonderfully looked after, informed and always had a contact person available. Everything also went smoothly on site and, thanks to Torsten’s excellent local knowledge, we were able to enjoy many memorable experiences and moments far away from any “tourists” in addition to two wonderful days of photography.

15.
What advice would you like to give to couples who would like to get married in the Seychelles in the near or distant future? Do you have any recommendations that you would like to get rid of?

Look forward to it, relax and enjoy.
