Wedding Seychelles – Photo of the week!

I met up with Simone and Andreas at the only petrol station on La Digue at 05:15 in complete darkness, because we had something very special planned for this beautiful November morning!

It took us about 15 minutes to cycle together to one of my favorite photo spots on La Digue. The sun “only” rose at 05:54 that morning, but as the two of them still had to get changed at their destination, we had allowed plenty of time.

While they were changing, I slowly walked over to my perfect photo position – which wasn’t at all safe with the strong tide on the wet rocks.

After arriving unharmed, I saw Simone and Andreas already in full wedding attire climbing onto the photo rock, which was to be bathed in a wonderful, deep red light by the rising sun a little later. I had shown them the way up the rocks the day before and led them safely to the top – after all, we had been there the day before in bright sunshine to take pictures in the same spot under a deep blue sky.

A short time later, the sky began to turn beautiful pastel colors. And after the sun had fought its way over the first clouds, which cling to the horizon almost every morning, at 06:02, the entire scenery was bathed in a wonderfully warm, red light. The sea was roaring, the sun was blazing red, I couldn’t stop taking photos because I was so excited – I get goosebumps just thinking about it!

Over the course of the day, we took lots of great pictures at other unusual photo spots on La Digue – but that’s a story for another time… 🙂
