“We searched Google for the terms “Wedding Seychelles” and “wedding photographer Seychelles” and also used the Google image search, which spits out quite a few hits for these search terms. And after we realized that all the wedding pictures that really “knocked our socks off” came from you without exception, it was clear to us that only you should photograph our wedding in the Seychelles!”
I was naturally delighted when I discovered these flattering lines from Verena and Jan in my inbox while I was sitting in the lobby of our hotel in Egypt, checking my emails for the first time since arriving.
That same evening, we got to know each other a little better via Skype. We talked at length about the planned wedding in the Seychelles, which was to take place on La Digue. I shared some of the anecdotes that I have experienced during my 14 trips to the Seychelles so far (the 15th Seychelles trip is coming up in eight weeks), told them about the many great weddings that I have photographed in the Seychelles so far and answered the numerous questions that they naturally had for me.
“Madness! You seem to know the Seychelles better than I know my home town!” said Verena, after no more questions remained unanswered and we agreed that we would experience the planned wedding in the Seychelles together.
