In the very south of the main island of Mahé lies the wild and fantastically beautiful Police Bay. Until the early 2000s, this beautiful bay was located on military land.
The military has long since disappeared, but there are still visitors who report that they were picked up by a guard and expelled from the site. I must have been lucky because I was able to get to the beach without any problems at the end of June. But the photo hopefully gives you an idea that the somewhat adventurous route and the subsequent climb were worth it… 😉
