Anse Marron is the most remote bay on La Digue. It can only be reached on foot on an approximately one-hour hike, which leads partly through the sea and partly through the jungle. A local guide is therefore highly recommended. When I wanted to hike to Anse Marron for the first time, I spent a long time trying to find a guide who could show me the way. Nowadays this is quite easy, as several guides offer the hike to Anse Marron or the complete southern circumnavigation of the island. First and foremost is the local guide Robert Agnes, better known to many as the “Sunny Trail Guide” or “La Digue Tour Guide”. Incidentally, you can also find him on Facebook under this very name:
