Air Austral will start operating flights to the Seychelles for the first time next year: from 27 March 2012, the airline based in La Réunion will be operating flights from Paris (Charles-de-Gaulles) to Mahé, starting with a twice-weekly service (Tuesday and Friday).
Passengers depart Paris on Tuesdays and Fridays at 22.40. After the night flight, passengers arrive in Mahé in the Seychelles at 10 a.m. on the morning of the following day. Air Austral then continues to La Réunion at 11.35, arriving at St Denis International Airport at 1.55 p.m. The airline offers return flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
On the long-haul flight Air Austral uses modern Boeing 777-300s with three-class configuration (18 seats in Business Class "Club Austral", 40 seats in Economy Premium "Confort Class" and 384 seats in Economy Class "Class Loisirs").
Since the beginning of the year, Air Austral has been cooperating with Lufthansa, so travellers from Germany can take advantage of shuttle services from Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin to Paris. Under the existing interline agreement, travellers receive a through ticket and can have their baggage checked through to their destination.
