I am often asked how I organize my trips to the Seychelles and where I book my Seychelles trips. As some of you seem to be interested in this, I would like to say a few words about it today:
I had my very first trip to the Seychelles organized by the “travel agency around the corner” in the summer of 1993. I had never been to the Seychelles before. So I trusted the travel agency employee who booked the hotel, flight and all the necessary transfers for me on site. I only found out years later that this lady had never been to the Seychelles herself.
In recent years, I’ve always found it very exciting to organize my trips completely myself: Booking my flights online myself, then writing or calling the accommodation separately and asking if there was still a room available in the desired travel period. Then I took care of the domestic flights from Mahé to Praslin, then the cab ride from the airport on Praslin to the port of Praslin (although experience shows that you always get a free cab there), then the boat transfer from Praslin to La Digue, then the cab on La Digue to take me to my accommodation – and three weeks later the same game again for the return journey. So you can roughly calculate how many hours I spent getting everything to fit. I always enjoyed it, but it took up valuable time that I could have used more sensibly as a self-employed person.
About a year ago, I came across the travel provider SeyVillas on the Internet. No other Seychelles specialist tour operator is so present on the Internet (currently 217,900 followers on Facebook!) and can offer such high-quality photos – a detail that I always pay particular attention to, because for me the overall package must always be right.
After two of “my” Seychelles wedding couples told me in quick succession that their entire wedding trips to the Seychelles, including the wedding on La Digue and, in the case of the other couple, the wedding on Praslin, were completely organized by SeyVillas and that both couples were highly satisfied with the entire organization and the support provided by SeyVillas, I informed myself further about the company and also compared their prices with those that I pay myself when I organize my own wedding. Well, what can I say: My next trips to the Seychelles will probably be completely organized by SeyVillas. This will probably not cost me a cent more than if I organize the trips completely myself – and I save myself many hours of research.
